About This Book
The tale follows a peasant's son born with a bear's ear who is expelled after repeatedly injuring other children. Wandering, he befriends three laborers — a woodcutter, a stone-worker, and a fisher with enormous moustaches — and they take up residence in a magical rotating hut. The witch Baba Yaga repeatedly visits, beating and plundering the household, until the son devises a clever trap using honey and a post that ensnares her. The story combines grotesque humor, vivid folkloric imagery, and a focus on cunning and solidarity in confronting dangerous supernatural forces.
