About This Book
Three short dramas examine how identity, performance, and truth collide. In one, six incomplete fictional figures interrupt a theatre company seeking an author to complete their lives, forcing actors and director to confront blurred boundaries between art and reality. Another follows a man who, after a psychological break, inhabits the persona of a historical ruler, provoking questions about madness, consent, and the social uses of role-playing. The final play stages a village dispute in which competing accounts of private lives reveal the instability of facts and the limits of judgment. Together they probe the theatrical nature of selfhood and the plural, elusive character of truth.
