The Tale of Bunny Cotton-Tail

A young rabbit's small misadventures follow from curiosity and carelessness: after reading too late he injures a paw and, frightened, wanders into a garden where a scarecrow and moonlight confuse him; he is later captured by a hunter and briefly becomes a boy's pet before escaping and being reclaimed by his anxious mother. Subsequent episodes depict gentle domestic scenes and lessons — consoling visits from a friend who brings picnic treats, an outing curtailed by rain that leads to receiving and learning to use an umbrella — emphasizing family, friendship, consequences of impulsive behavior, and tender care.
