The Shaggy Man of Oz

The narrative follows the Shaggy Man and a pair of curious twins who are swept from their rainy home into the Land of Oz after meeting their wooden clown on a strange television picture. They encounter familiar and new inhabitants, travel by magical vehicles and through fantastic realms—including islands, a valley of romance, a beaver kingdom, and a secret tunnel beneath the desert—and confront obstacles resolved by enchanted items such as a magic belt and other tools. The plot traces adventures, rescues, and reconciliations that restore order and return the children home.
