The Ministry of the Spirit

Chapters examine the Spirit's indwelling, enduement, embodying with and administration through the church, and his role in sanctification, guidance, and revival. The book emphasizes that the Spirit's chief work is to reveal and bear witness to Christ, cooperating with believers to manifest his life and power, and warns that unbelief and secular currents such as materialism, critical skepticism, and aestheticism obstruct the Spirit's activity. Practical counsel seeks renewed dependence on the Spirit for corporate and individual holiness and mission.
