The Air Ship Boys : Or, the Quest of the Aztec Treasure

A band of young adventurers constructs and experimental airship using liquid hydrogen and undertakes a southwestern expedition to recover a legendary Aztec treasure. Their journey carries them from railroad towns into deserts, mesas, and mountains, where they face rivals, hostile encounters, calculation errors, and physical exhaustion. Episodes alternate between technical ingenuity—building the ship, first flights, mid-air rescues, and use of searchlights and explosives—and archaeological discovery, including secret tunnels, a turquoise temple, and a recovered hoard. The narrative closes with a perilous retreat and a final rescue that secures the treasure and the survivors.
