About This Book
A young watchman aboard a trading schooner becomes drawn into a mystery when beach-combers on a nearby tropical isle report a recurring green arrow of light. He joins a small, mixed crew that includes a resourceful girl and her elderly guardian to investigate a crumbling stone stronghold rumored to conceal foreign agents. Their inquiry leads through perilous trails, nocturnal drums, underwater hazards, strange sea creatures, and acts of sabotage, culminating in clashes on land and under the sea that reveal the scope of the covert network and test the group’s courage and loyalty.
