About This Book
A scout patrol on a mountain vacation accepts a request from a Chicago lawyer to investigate a client's case, and their trip becomes a chase across the Great Divide. The boys use scouting skills while encountering train robbers, detectives, cowboys, an escaped convict and his son, and other hazards such as bear hunts, threatened lynchings, underground passages, and a Wyoming hold-up. Episodes alternate pursuit, capture, and rescue as the patrol negotiates wilderness challenges and unfolding clues, testing loyalty and resourcefulness before the various plots of robbery and pursuit reach their conclusion.
