Os dialectos romanicos ou neo-latinos na África, Ásia e América

The work surveys Romance-derived vernaculars that arose in Africa, Asia and the Americas, with special attention to Portuguese-based creoles. It documents how local speech varieties differ from metropolitan norms, assembles letters, proverbs and grammatical observations as evidence, and distinguishes deeper, heavily creolized forms from varieties retaining more continental features. The author traces recurring phonetic, lexical and structural tendencies, outlines comparative aims for grammar and vocabulary description, presents island case studies, and urges broader field documentation and systematic comparative study to clarify the formation and social distribution of these dialects.
