In een korte, filosofische uitwisseling wegen ze plichten tegenover familie en reputatie tegen trouw aan wetten en de staat, waarbij de gevangene betoogt dat morele consistentie en respect voor de rechtsorde het verbieden onrecht te plegen, zelfs om eigen leven of dat van geliefden te redden.

Plato was an ancient Greek philosopher, a student of Socrates and teacher of Aristotle, whose works have profoundly influenced Western philosophy.
