Wings over England

The story follows a group of young people on an English farm during wartime as they host refugee children and receive an American visitor, while local airmen and the Home Guard respond to enemy air raids. Tensions rise when parachuted enemy airmen are captured and evidence suggests one belongs to a notorious local family, prompting suspicion of espionage and covert activity. The group becomes drawn into clandestine investigations, hideouts, and confrontations that include aerial engagements, a dungeon ordeal, and a daring rescue at sea. Themes of loyalty, resourcefulness, and communal defense run through the episodic adventure as the characters work together to protect their town and counter the enemy's plans.
