Vision House

The narrative follows a young stage actress who becomes the object of an anonymous suitor after receiving a string of mysterious gifts aboard a transatlantic voyage; curiosity and public notices lead her to challenge the giver to a meeting. A reluctant suitor delays a declaration because of family obligations and strategic timing, while family, servants, and a secretary influence appearances and misunderstandings. The plot moves between shipboard encounter, hotel rooms, and domestic settings, tracing escalating romantic tension, social maneuvering, secrecy, and small reversals that test loyalties and pride before moving toward reconciliation and altered relationships.
