About This Book
After their father's death the two brothers find themselves spending holidays at their school and, on a rainy day, slip away to the coast where a hidden doorway leads into a cliffside cave. Trapped by the tide, they follow tunnels and rugged paths to an old house and secret chambers, encounter a dog and local men, and uncover a wreckers' lamp and other mysterious belongings. The narrative follows their fear, quick thinking and mutual devotion as they confront danger, unravel the cave's enigmas, and ultimately secure a way back to safety, with courage and responsibility at its core.
