The Secret of the Storm Country

Set among a lakeside squatter community, the narrative follows Tessibel, a strong-willed young woman whose loyalty to her imperiled father and belief in local lore shape her choices. The arrival of Andy Bishop and the attention of the lordly Ebenezer Waldstricker complicate local rivalries, courting, and moral judgment.
