About This Book
Two young visitors staying in a large, old Mexican house become intrigued by a barred window and begin a cautious investigation. Their curiosity leads them through crowded, impoverished neighborhoods, up scaffolds and onto rooftops, and into sealed rooms where they encounter ghostly figures and mysterious objects. With the aid of a friend and household servants they follow a trail of clues that culminates in a locked black box and a revealed family story that explains the house’s long-hidden secret.
