The Madcap of the School

The story follows a new term at a boarding school relocated to a romantic moated Tudor house, where a high-spirited pupil, Raymonde Armitage, and her schoolmates explore the house and grounds, stage pranks, form friendships and secret societies, and undertake outdoor adventures such as camping and fossil hunting. Episodes range from midnight scares and amateur detective work to organizing charity efforts and performing in concerts, culminating in a mysterious accusation that is investigated and resolved. Through lively episodes the narrative emphasizes camaraderie, loyalty, youthful daring and the social life of schoolgirls.
