About This Book
Several amusement-park riders awaken inside a small, windowless chamber strewn with straw and odd furnishings and find no visible exit. They test the walls, compare lost time and belongings, and argue about how they arrived as a sliding panel reveals a vast surrounding interior. A huge, hairy arm probes into their room with a strange implement, provoking fear and urgency; the group shifts between practical attempts to escape and mounting uncertainty about who or what has confined them.
