About This Book
Two young aviators, brothers Frank and Harry Chester, enter a competitive air race and encounter a mysterious rival whose black aeroplane and a scheming adversary set them on a hunt for a sunken galleon laden with treasure. Their pursuit leads from contests and trial flights to storms, fog, the Sargasso Sea, capture on a hostile ship, and conflicts involving a dirigible and a treacherous inventor. The narrative follows their narrow escapes, aerial and maritime dangers, and a final confrontation on an island that resolves the treasure hunt and restores the boys' fortunes.
