About This Book
A group of four friends camping at a remote northern lake turn their hunting and fishing outing into an amateur investigation after befriending a homeless boy who knows something about a long-missing satchel of stolen money. Strange noises and missing camp supplies lead them to an abandoned clubhouse, hostile men including one called Murky, and a Swedish foreman connected to a past robbery. The boys mix woodscraft and youthful sleuthing, facing beatings, night scouting, and moral questions about loyalty and suspicion as they seek to protect their camp and unravel who took the money.
