The Abandoned Room

A young man becomes enmeshed in suspicion after his grandfather is found dead at the family estate; he cannot remember the crucial hours and faces a detective convinced of foul play. His cousin experiences eerie occurrences in the deserted house while a circle of characters—a foreign servant whose motives are unclear, a lawyer who doubles as investigator, and other enigmatic visitors—examine alibis and movements.
