About This Book
The narrative follows a jungle-born hero who, upon learning that his wife survives, undertakes a perilous solo expedition into an uncharted, prehistoric region to find and free her. He crosses deadly morasses and mountain barriers, tracks fugitives through hostile villages, and confronts primeval beasts and cannibal tribes. Along the way he relies on savage wit, physical prowess, and occasional allies to penetrate hidden cities, infiltrate temples, and survive ambushes and captivity. Encounters with gigantic reptiles, flying gryphs, and tribal politics complicate the rescue, which culminates in daring escapes, ritual trials, and a hard-won return toward safety.
