Si Rizal at ang mga Diwata: Zarzuelang Tagalog na may Dalawang Yugto

A two-act Tagalog zarzuela stages a dramatized encounter between a young José Rizal and personified diwata—Beauty, Pleasure, Honor, Wealth, and Fate—who attempt to lure him away from duties to his suffering mother and family. Choral numbers and exchanges among Youth, Eldest siblings, and Rizal create tensions around filial duty, temptation, social reputation, and moral choice; the youth are drawn into gambling and revelry while others neglect responsibility, later confronting regret and a need for change. Alternating songs and spoken scenes, the piece uses allegory and musical tableaux to examine responsibility, pride, and the possibility of personal and communal redemption.
