Revolt of the Devil Star

A luminous energy being grows obsessed with a memory of his own birth and rejects a cosmic law that life must reproduce and then die. He isolates himself and pursues other energy entities across multiple hyper-space bands, ultimately intruding into the forbidden forty-eighth band where life is conceived and death ordained. There he witnesses the annihilating union that sparks new life, struggles with the realization that destiny governs his species, and confronts the moral and existential consequences of trying to escape a biological imperative. The tale explores rebellion, fate, and the cyclical nature of creation for noncorporeal life.
