About This Book
This collection gathers short, localized legends and devotional traditions from Upper Brittany that link popular saints to particular places, stones, fountains, chapels and the sea. Each entry records fragmentary episodes—miracles, footprints, petrified traces, offerings and rites—that show how folk belief, fairy lore and Christian cults intertwine in village memory. The accounts were assembled from oral testimony and older sources, often preserved only by elders, and the volume registers both the rich variety of local sanctuaries and the gradual fading of these small, place-bound traditions.
