About This Book
The narrative follows a newborn separated from her young mother amid secrecy and social constraints, while the mother suffers in silence and the father’s pride and outside influences determine the child’s fate. As years pass the child is raised by adoptive guardians and faces complications of identity, misunderstood loyalties, and romantic entanglements. A chain of revelations, confrontations, and reunions gradually uncovers past falsehoods and tests familial and romantic bonds, forcing characters to reckon with pride, guilt, and the chance of forgiveness.
