Motor Matt's Quest; or Three Chums in Strange Waters

A young engineer and his two loyal companions undertake a daring maritime mission to rescue a kidnapped American consul from Central American revolutionaries. Their submarine and other craft face sabotage, desertion of an unreliable mate who flees with a suspicious schooner, and clues from sealed orders that lead them along a tense coastal chase. The narrative combines mechanical ingenuity, quick thinking, and close-knit camaraderie as they navigate political intrigue, violent encounters, narrow escapes, and unexpected allies while racing to reach the captive before opposing forces can bargain for his release.
