Meddler's Moon

The story follows Peter Hedgerly, a tinkering scientist whose domestic evening is interrupted by a stranger identifying himself as Joseph, a grandson from the future who has traveled back to steer family choices so that Peter will marry a particular woman. The visitor insists on correcting what he presents as historical inevitability, prompting comic domestic confusion and resistance. Interwoven scenes shift to the laboratory where a powerful oscillating magnetic apparatus used for time travel produces an oppressive hum and technical spectacle. The narrative explores the ethical and interpersonal consequences of future intervention and the collision between private life and scientific control.
