Martian V.F.W.

The story follows preparations for a major city parade that are interrupted when a delegation of giant, three-colored, anthropomorphic ants appears claiming to represent a Martian veterans' organization and demands a place on the route. A flustered parade manager negotiates their inclusion as the group and its small float proceed by performing clownish acrobatics and firing harmless blue sparks, delighting the crowd and perplexing officials.
