Man of Many Minds

A young cadet who suppressed a childhood telepathic ability is identified by a clandestine branch of an interstellar service and recruited to counter a secret conspiracy aiming to seize control of human-held worlds. The plot follows his reluctant induction, assignments, and the development of his mind-reading into the Corps' chief instrument for intelligence and intervention. Espionage and psychological confrontation escalate as hidden enemies are probed and outmaneuvered, forcing the cadet to refine his powers while facing ethical questions about secrecy, personal cost, and the dangers of using mental intrusion as a strategic weapon.
