Le Sud-Oranais: études floristiques et phytogéographiques faites au cours d'une exploration dans le Sud-Ouest de l'Algérie en 1901

A scientific account combines a travel narrative of an exploration in southwestern Algeria with a systematic phytogeographical survey of the region's habitats. The author describes oases and water points, dunes, several steppe types, mountain vegetation zones, and desert rocks, then draws conclusions about floral migrations, local environmental influences, and comparisons with European flora. The work includes a taxonomic enumeration of species—vascular cryptogams, gymnosperms, monocotyledons, and dicotyledons—accompanied by floristic and biological observations, plus appendices on mosses, fungi, lichens, algae and collected insects.
