Kallio ja meri

A lyric collection of poems that alternates intimate nature imagery and mythic or narrative vignettes. The poems frequently set sea and granite landscapes, seasonal change, and religious or convent scenes against private longing and memory, moving between tender love lyrics, ballads and dreamlike voyages. Physical sensations—waves, winds, flowers and ruins—anchor reflections on loss, renewal and fate, while musical and formal pieces evoke lullabies, dances and hymns.
