About This Book
The play examines the porous boundary between sanity and madness through a domestic rupture and its wider social echoes. A married couple is consumed by mutual distrust, and the wife's insistence on separation sparks a chain of confrontations involving friends, physicians, and residents of a house of health. Scenes alternate between intimate colloquies and institutional settings to probe how society labels and treats those deemed mad, and how supposed wisdom can resemble madness. Rather than offering solutions, the work stages a series of visions and questions that leave distinctions unresolved and invite reflection on perception, authority, and the artist's role in representing human instability.
