Greatheart

Set among guests at a winter Alpine resort, the narrative follows a spirited young woman whose attraction of two very different men triggers rivalries, misunderstandings and tender alliances; servants and friends act as sharp-eyed commentators while shifting social scenes give way to solitary mountain journeys. A steady, guardian-like figure named Greatheart appears to steer several characters through trials of captivity, despair and moral testing. Alternating luminous salon episodes with allegorical ordeals and quiet reckonings, the story charts sacrifice, inner transformation and eventual reconciliation as love and conscience are restored.
