About This Book
A series of lectures presents a Vedantic account of rebirth, arguing that visible phenomena arise from subtle forces and that the subtle body or germ persists across lives, producing corresponding physical forms. Topics include the relation between heredity and reincarnation, how evolutionary theory and embryology can harmonize with transmigration, a comparison of resurrection and reincarnation from a scientific viewpoint, and an explicit formulation of transmigration. The author links causation, variation, natural selection, and moral-spiritual tendencies to explain continuity of consciousness and individual development across successive embodiments.
