Fighting for the Right

The narrative follows a young Union naval lieutenant recovering from wounds who undertakes varied sea-duty and clandestine missions to support the Union cause away from major battlefields. He and his associates pursue Confederate commerce raiders, board and seize suspect vessels, gather intelligence in Bermuda and the Bahamas, confront neutrality issues, and take part in daring coastal operations around Tampa. Episodes emphasize steady devotion, moral courage, practical seamanship, and the contributions of civilians and noncombatants; the protagonist advances through merit amid captures, chases, and occasional diplomatic complications.
