Edward Buttoneye and His Adventures

A whimsical sequence of episodic adventures follows a stitched toy boy who leaves his makers to seek work and belonging, accompanied by a faithful woolly companion. He tries a series of occupations—shepherd, railway driver, bargeman, jockey, page and more—and repeatedly meets comic mishaps, dismissals and narrow rescues, including storms at sea. Encounters with other toys and people reveal his longing for a home and admiration from others, while friendship, resilience and gently absurd humor propel the narrative through varied, lighthearted episodes.
