Boy Scouts in Mexico; Or, On Guard with Uncle Sam

As they travel they use scouting skills, secret codes, and local contacts while pursuing clues about suspects, hidden caches, and a larger plot; encounters with wild animals and hostile figures complicate their mission. The patrol alternates between rescue efforts and detective work, leading to mistaken arrests, underground discoveries, and a final exposition that resolves the crime and prepares several characters for new service abroad. Themes include courage, loyalty, resourcefulness, and the responsibilities of youth in uncertain times.
