A lyrical trilogy of rural narratives follows an isolated noble daughter confined in an ancient tower by a harsh fate that allows her to leave only for an exceptionally worthy and handsome husband. Her daily rituals and songs to the sun set a standard of heroic qualities and provoke longing across the countryside, while parades of suitors fail to meet the demand. A single captive youth, famed for strength and courage, breaks free, overcomes guards and wild terrain, and hastens to claim her hand.
