Battle Out of Time

An individual from the modern era is swept into Bronze Age Crete and becomes enmeshed in palace intrigues and relationships with mythic figures while confronting a Minotaur that is revealed as an alien menace. Pressed to enter the labyrinth and face the creature, he must weigh personal loyalties, romantic attachments, and the far-reaching consequences of his actions, since defeating the monster could alter the palace's fate and the wider future of humanity. The narrative combines action and speculative invention, contrasting ancient customs and architecture with futuristic artifacts and raising moral questions about sacrifice, identity, and the meeting of myth and science.
