A series of intimate, impressionistic vignettes and journallike entries in which a narrator marks the end of adolescence. Moving between cramped rooms, streets, cafés, and parks, the text sketches brief encounters, theater scenes, and small objects such as a medallion, shifting between humor, melancholy, and yearning. Sensory detail and associative digressions form a collage of memory and impulse, alternating domestic observation with a growing desire to travel and leave the familiar, and tracing emotional transitions as the narrator prepares to step beyond the nineteenth year.
