A Voyage with Captain Dynamite

Three adventurous boys buy a fast sloop and set out on coastal cruises, only to be drawn into a wider armed struggle when their vessel and companions become involved with a rebel cause. They face capture, imprisonment, naval encounters, clandestine missions to send information, and daring escapes, while encountering harsh civilian suffering and learning about loyalty, courage, and sacrifice. The narrative mixes brisk sea action, covert land operations, tense encounters with enemy forces, and personal tests of honor, leading to a hazardous effort to return the young sailors and their allies safely home.
