A Personal Problem

Two former business partners meet on a small tropical island where past betrayals surface during an uneasy, seemingly conciliatory evening; one guest is persuaded to stay the night at his host's bungalow. As darkness settles, faint, uncanny sounds—tapping, ticking, scuttling—grow into a disquieting chorus of hermit crabs and other island life, and the visitor's fear mounts while the host remains alert and composed. The routine setting slowly converts into a tense nocturnal ordeal, with the mounting noises and the host's demeanor suggesting that polite forgiveness may mask a more dangerous, deliberate intention.
