Interspersed are accounts of local folklore and legends—tumuli, huldr, lindorm, basilisk, changelings, witches, spectral huntsmen, and other folktales—alongside reflections on customs, horse-breeding, races, weddings, and everyday agricultural life in the Danish countryside.
